CoRSAL curator Mary Burke was awarded the Graduate Research Experiences Abroad Travel (GREAT) grant by UNT International Affairs to pursue her dissertation research during the summer of 2022. Mary is a PhD candidate in Linguistics and Information Science at UNT. Her dissertation explores how the Boro collection in CoRSAL was developed and will be used in ongoing language revitalization activities. The creators of the Boro Language Resource, Drs. Prafulla Basumatary, Krishna Boro, Bihung Brahma, and Mr. Hirok Jyoti Lahari Boro, will discuss their motivations for archiving and future plans for the material.
